“There is only one day that you and I have to live – and that’s today. There is nothing we can do about yesterday except repent, and there may be no tomorrows. The thing for us to do when we arise from our beds as God gives us a new day is to pray that whatever comes to our hands, we will do it to the best of our ability.”
–Harold B. Lee, 11th President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

One thing that just irks me is when people dwell on either yesterday or tomorrow, they don’t appreciate today.  I love this quote from President Lee because it refocuses our attention on the here and now.  Yes, we should definitely learn from what has happened in the past and to certainly prepare for the future, but we can’t successfully live in either.  If we cannot accept where we are right now, we will never find happiness.

Appreciate Today

“Prosperity equals diligence over time, with discipline.”
–Dave Ramsey

It doesn’t matter if your definition of prosperity includes money, goals, health or family.  Whatever it is for you, if you’re diligent with it and consistent on a daily basis long term, you will start to prosper, according to what it means to you.
